The Mareth Line Military Museum

History of the place

The Mareth Line was a line of fortifications built by the French before the Second World War. It was the scene of a decisive battle in 1943. The museum, housed in a former bunker, traces this history through uniforms, weapons, maps and period photos. The visit allows you to understand the strategic issues of the Tunisian campaign and to pay tribute to the soldiers who fought there.
